Mike Pompeo told a US press conference on Wednesday that China is continuing to experiment on dangerous pathogens in secretive military labs that may not be secure. The US Secretary of State said that an accidental leak from one of these labs could unleash another global pandemic crisis, even worse than the COVID-19 outbreak. Mr Pompeo again demanded China that open world access to its virology labs in Wuhan, saying the world needed to understand how the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic originated.
